Eric joined the Catholic Church through the RCIA process in 2007 in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia. He became interested in the teachings of the Church while at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where he earned his B.A. in Religious Studies with minors in both Catholic Studies and Judaic Studies. After graduating, he worked for several years managing internal and marketing communications for companies of all sizes from dotcom startups to Fortune 500 organizations.
He returned to graduate school in 2012 and earned his M.T.S. in History, Scripture, and Tradition at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. He moved to the Boston in 2014 to pursue his doctorate in Hebrew Bible at Harvard University.
Eric and his wife, Amber, met at VCU in a Catholic Social Ethics class and were married at the Paulist Center in 2015.
