Andrew Sullivan, writer for New York Magazine and former Editor-in-Chief of The New Republic, will address The Catholic Clergy Abuse Crisis and Homosexuality: The Problem of Scapegoating. Sponsored by the Paulist Center’s LGBTQ and the Adult Education Committees, and, as part of the Paulist Center’s ongoing response to the clergy sexual abuse crisis, we wish to consider one small, but significant, dimension many Catholics’ response: scapegoating gay priests for this crisis. Come with an open mind and heart to be informed and challenged to consider this dimension of the crisis. A reception will follow.
