Patty Simpson

Pastoral Administrator

Patricia Simpson (Patty) has been the Administrator at the Paulist Center for 30 years.  She grew up in vibrant post Vatican II parish and school environments in Queens, NY, that supported the full and active participation of the laity in the life of the church and grounded her in the spiritualities of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton and Saint Francis.  After receiving her BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Patty spent eight years as a consultant with Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting.  She then pursued her MDiv at Harvard Divinity School with a focus on pastoral and non-profit administration and leadership.  Patty loves the Paulist Center Community and particularly values the incredible witness to social justice of so many of its members in their daily lives and careers and that it is a community that models collaborative ministry between lay and ordained members.  Patty is also the denominational counselor to Catholic students at Harvard Divinity School and an Instructor in the Ministry on their faculty.  She has been married for 30 years to her husband, Kevin Flynn, whom she met at Penn. Together they raised two children, Owen and Briana.
