Come To Set Us Free
A Festival of Readings and Carols
Saturday, December 13 at 8:00 pm
Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 pm
Holy Spirit Chapel, 5 Park Street, Boston
The readings, carols, and prayers in this year’s program illuminate the themes of hope, waiting, preparation, and rejoicing. They remind us that the story of Advent is about our God’s promise of freedom, hope, and peace manifested in the Word made Flesh. Through Christ, our God walks in deep solidarity with humanity, sharing in both our sufferings and our moments of joy. Amid life’s challenges, we are reminded that ours is a God who comes to free us from all fear and despair – to bring light and peace to all.
Since early October, over 30 musicians have been rehearsing. This beloved tradition offers us an opportunity to embark on our Advent pilgrimage together, culminating in the joyful celebration of the Feast of the Incarnation.
Performances will take place on Saturday, December 13, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 14, at 2:00 p.m. Sunday’s performance will begin with A Christmas Story, presented by the youth of the Paulist Center.
