Anointing of the Sick

Are any among you sick?

Anointing of the Sick – formerly known as “the Last Rites” – is the Catholic Church’s Sacrament of living out St. James’ invitation: “Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15).

Paulist Center priests administer this beautiful sacrament periodically after Sunday Masses.  If you are suffering from a serious injury, or are facing upcoming surgery, or have a chronic condition for which you seek healing, let us know.  We will happily administer this Sacrament after a weekend liturgy or during a weekday liturgy.

To arrange reception of the sacrament, contact Fr. Rick Walsh, CSP or by calling the Paulist Center at 617-742-4460.
