September & October Socials – TBA
The time has come to plan our September and October events! With the glut of things happening in our day-to-day and all the strains on our attention, we want to be able to spend time together that feels fun and meaningful. Lately, we’ve been using quite a bit of focus on social activities, and while these are great we also hope to pepper in more opportunities for service to our community and spiritual reflection. To these ends, we’d appreciate it if you’d let us know what events you’d be most likely to attend, and share any suggestions and ideas you may have about other activities to look into in the future by filling out This Survey (I promise it’s very short!).
Thank you for being a part of our community 🙂
Catholic Social Teaching Series – Prayer & Action
This Fall we will begin a year long reflection and lecture series on Catholic Social Teaching. Focusing on key documents that have challenged and inspired our faith tradition over time, we will consider what insights and actions they inspire as we face myriad assaults on social justice today. These sessions will be led by Raúl E. Zegarra, a community member and Assistant Professor of Roman Catholic Theological Studies at Harvard Divinity School. The first session of this series will take place on Sunday, September 7th after both the 10:00am and 6:00pm Masses. Feel free to drop in!
This series is sponsored by the Paulist Center’s Immigration Advocacy Group
Book Talk – Christopher White’s “Pope Leo XIV”
Thursday, September 25th at 7:00pm, we will be welcoming Christopher White, who spent four years covering Pope Francis as Vatican correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter, to discuss his new book and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the conclave that elected the first American Pope. Paulist Center member Bill Mitchell, a former NCR publisher, will lead an interview with Christopher, followed by a Q&A. Please RSVP Here!
