What is Taizé?

It is a style of Christian worship practiced by the ecumenical Taizé community in France, characterized by the repetitive singing of simple harmonized tunes, often in various languages, interspersed with readings, prayers, and periods of silence.  Taizé music highlights simple phrases, usually lines from the Psalms or other pieces of scripture, repeated or sung in canon. The repetition is designed to help meditation and prayer.

All are welcome to join us for Taizé Prayer each Tuesday during Lent, 7-8pm.

Bring a cushion if you wish to sit on the floor.
